UK Construction Week: What happened next
Tuesday, October 16th, 2018
We took BuildingWorks to UK Construction Week in October 2018. The organisers invited us to feature on the Innovation Trail, thanks to the ground-breaking features of the software. The interest in the software over the three days was excellent.
UK Construction Week is the UK’s largest built environment event; bringing together thousands working in construction with over 600 exhibitors at the NEC Birmingham.
It consists of nine shows: Timber Expo, Build Show, Civils Expo, Plant & Machinery Live, Energy 2019, Building Tech Live, Surface & Materials Show, HVAC 2019 and Grand Designs Live – saving a lot of research time for busy people!
Guest speaker in the Digital Construction Hub
Adrian Wild, Managing Director of Integro Construction Software gave a talk on “Why digital construction is too important for smaller building firms to ignore.” It was aimed at general builders, property developers, Quantity Surveyors and architects looking for significant office-based times savings; efficiencies in building; reduced time to build; capital cost savings and reductions in errors as the project passes between project stakeholders e.g. designer to estimator.
He spoke to a packed ‘Digital Construction Hub’ in the Building Tech Live show, on the importance of not being left behind. During his session, Adrian explained that all building firms can digitise their projects and processes.
Live on Fix Radio
The software was also featured on the trades-focussed radio station, Fix Radio. Adrian’s interview with Andy Stevens, Fix Radio presenter and Vice President of the Federation of Master Builders, London region, went out live to the UK. You can listen to the station online, via their app or if you’re based in London, on your DAB radio. They claim you won’t hear the same song twice between 6am and 6pm each day!
